We recently marked one year since MLC moved our program online due to the global COVID crisis. We are so grateful to our staff and students who participated in our online classes. The MLC mission carried on in Zoom rooms, where our staff worked tirelessly to teach and support our students, and our students continued to strive for their personal and professional goals. While we look back on the past year with much gratitude for the success of our online classes, we also look forward to the day that we can return to in-person classes. The MLC Leadership Team is eager to share that our tentative plan is to reopen our IN-PERSON program in Session 7, 2021, which begins on August 4. We decided to reopen in August because we believe that all staff and students will be able to easily receive the COVID vaccine by that time. We will require all staff and students to receive the COVID vaccine before attending our in-person program. We also believe the COVID rates in our region will be lower by August. The health and safety of our staff and students is our top priority, so we will reconsider our plan if the vaccine or COVID situation changes. After we reopen the in-person program, we will continue to offer some classes online for students who live far from Ann Arbor, or who prefer to study online. Please note that F1 visa students must return to the in-person program.
We look forward to welcoming our community back through our doors! -MLC Staff |
