When is the second dose given?
The date and time of the second intake is determined at the time of the first intake.
Pfizer: 3 weeks later, Moderna: 4 weeks later *J & J-one shot only
When can I get the vaccination?
10 days after arriving in Los Angeles. (After 10 days of quarantine)
What are the side effects?
COVID-19 vaccines affect different people in different ways. Generally, the younger and healthier you are, the more likely you are to have stronger side effects. Symptoms usually last 1-2 day and include tiredness, headache, chills, muscle pain, fever and joint pain. Ibuprofen or acetaminophen, like Advil or Tylenol, can relieve COVID-19 vaccine symptoms.
Preparing to fly and quarantine
Airlines, Los Angeles County, and MLI require the following three things prior to departure.
- At the airport check-in counter:
Submit proof of a negative PCR test administered within 72 hours of departure.
-Travel Form
Fill out an online travel form required by Los Angeles County before arriving in Los Angeles.

-If students want to move into the MLI student dormitory immediately after arrival in Los Angeles, please submit a negative PCR test (in English ) via email to the admissions office prior to departure and submit the original upon arrival.
*Upon arrival, students will be required to self-quarantine for 10 days. After quarantine, students will be allowed to participate in in-person classes at MLI. If your class start date coincides with your quarantine period, you will be required to take online classes during that time.
** If students wish to stay at a homestay, they can check in to a homestay only after the 10-day quarantine. Students can quarantine at the MLI student dormitory upon arrival (with submission of PCR negative test result) and then move to the homestay after the quarantine.
***No quarantine period is required for students who are already fully vaccinated before coming to Los Angeles.

From 7/06/21, all programs at Westwood Campus except IELTS will be resumed in-person.
We have received many applications for the summer term and dormitory space is running out fast. To secure your spot, we recommend that you reserve your spot as soon as possible.
