Information about Brexit from EnglishUK
EnglishUK, our trade association, has assured us that the UK government is working to ensure that there are no or very few changes to the way that EU/EEA and Swiss nationals enter the UK after Brexit day and until the end of 2020. Brexit day was planned for March 29, 2019, but it is now delayed.
Even if the UK leaves the EU without an agreement, students will not notice any difference to the way they currently enter the UK. This will remain the case until 31 December 2020. During this time students will be able to work and study as now. From 2021 it will still be easy for students to enter the UK.
The UK government will accept ID cards for entry to the UK until December 2020. There is plenty of time to plan for when passports are likely to be needed from 2021.
