We are very pleased to announce that the New York Film Academy College of Visual & Performing Arts (NYFA) is now offering Bachelor of Fine Arts Programs at our New York City Campus! Starting this fall (2019), NYFA will run the BFA in Filmmaking and BFA Acting for Film.
Please note: For your international students interested in these New York campus Bachelor¡¯s programs we are currently awaiting U.S. government approval to issue I 20 certificates for the F1 student visa. We anticipate being able to issue I 20 certificates for the Spring 2020 start date. This will depend on the government processing time. Most other visa statuses do allow full-time study in the U.S (except B1/B2 and F2). If you have a student in the U.S. in another status or hold another type of visa please contact the NYFA Department of Agent Services at agent@nyfa.edu to properly advise. Los Angeles and South Beach Campuses¡¯ BFA programs are currently eligible for F1 visa. We are also delighted to inform you that the New York Film Academy of Visual & Performing Arts (NYFA) received accreditation from the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). NYFA adds WSCUC to its existing accreditation through the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD). NASAD is the only specialized accrediting body for the field of art and design recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education. WSCUC is one of seven regional accrediting agencies. Regional accreditation serves to assure the educational community, parents, students, employers, policymakers, and the public that an accredited institution has met high standards of quality and effectiveness. Accreditation also helps ensure that credits and degrees are generally recognized for purposes of transfer, admission to other institutions, and employment.
Our accreditation status is listed on the directory of the Council for Higher Education Authority (CHEA) here.Visit Accreditation: WASC & NASAD for more information on NYFA¡¯s accreditation. |
