| 학교소개 및 특징 | 맨체스터 대학은 영국 명문대학중의 하나이며 지금까지 수많은 업적과 발견으로 유명합니다. 이러한 업적의 결과로 이 대학은 다수의 노벨상 수상자를 배출했으며 최근의 수상자로는 1986년 노벨 화학상 수상자인 John Polanyi와 1933년 노벨 화학상 수상자 Michael Smith가 맨체스터 대학의 대표적인 인물이라 할 수 있습니다. 또한 이 대학은 QQA(Qaulity Assurance Agency)에서 인정을 받아 32개 부분에서 상을 수상했습니다. 맨체스터의 분교는 2008년 연구 평가조사에서 "Research Power"부분에서 3위를 차지했습니다. 2004년에는 맨체스터 빅토리아 대학교와 UMIST의 합병을 통해 영국 최대의 학생 수와 직원의 수를 둔 대학교가 되었습니다. 2010년 Center of higher Education's Development's Excellence Ranking에서 생물학, 화학, 수학, 물리학, 심리학, 경제학등 7개의 분야 모두에서 우수한 평가를 받았습니다. 특히 맨체스터 대학은 생명과학, 공학, 인문학, 경제학, 사회과학, 사회학 분야에서 두각을 드러내고 있습니다. |
