The Professional Business & Restaurant School (PBRS) which is part of Cornell Education Group participated in the Auckland Regional Hospitality Championships 2019 on 24th June. PBRS entered 26 students in 13 different categories this year with outstanding success

This gratifying result is a reflection of all the extra hours of work and passion that our Cookery and Hospitality tutors put in to ensure that our students received excellent training, that is up to date and relevant to the cookery / hospitality industry in New Zealand.
Cookery student ZHENG Zhihua (International Diploma in Food Preparation and Cookery Supervision (Advanced)( Level 5) won Gold for Live Salmon, Live Dessert, and Bronze for Live Knife Skills. “After one month hard training, I finally got two gold and one bronze. Thanks to all chefs and Program Manager’s contribution and full support from my school. This competition has been great in improving my skills and learning new and different cooking techniques. I am looking forward to getting better performance and better results at the national competition as well”.

저희 요리 학부는 PBRS 학교의 요리 학부로 진행이 되고 있고요, 한클라스당 한국인 비율은 보통 3명 정도 보시면 됩니다. (총 학생 21명 기준).
또한, 과정중 실습이 60% 이고 이론 40% 이고요 2년차 마지막 모듈에는 레지토랑 실습으로 대처로 학교 수업 대신 크래딧을 받는 work placement 가 제공이 됩니다.
입학 요건은 자체 시험 또는 IELTS 오버롤 5.5 이상에 각 영역이 5.0 이상이 되어야 입학이 가능하고요, 참고요, 현재 뉴질랜드 NZQA 에서 차체 시험기준 완화로 더이상 자체 시험을 볼수 없고 IELTS 로만 입학 허용이 가능한 부분들이 내용이 나오고 있습니다. 만약 포텐셜 학생이 있으시다면 자체 시험이 없어지기 전에 최대한 빠르게 학생분이 시험에 응시 할수 있게 조언을 부탁 드립니다 :)
요번 2017년의 마지막 인테이크는 PBRS 와 Cornell 의 전 과정이 함께 진행이 됩니다.
기존의 신입 학생들의 오리엔테이션이 금요일에 했는데 요번 인테이크 오리엔테이션은 11월 27일 월요일에 진행이 되며, 첨부 되어 있는 오리엔테이션 안내서를 확인을 부탁 드리며, 새롭게 시작하는 학생들이 비자가가 안나와도 신인생 오리엔테이션에는 꼭 참석을 할수 있게 안내를 부탁드립니다.
또안 11월 27일 학과정 시작후에 2주후 까지 비자가 승인이 나면 11월달 인테이로 입학이 가능 하오니 아직 까지 입학 진행이 안된 학생들은 서둘러 서류 진행을 하시면 될거 같습니다.
오리엔테이션에 참석하는 학생들은 여권, 비자 승인 레터, 보험 증서와 필기 도구를 지참 해서 참석을 해주시면 되겠습니다.

이미 오래전부터 공지가 나간대로 요번 11월 21일 인테이크를 마지막으로 더이상 요리학과 Diploma in Professional cookery LEVEL 5 , 1년과정은 제공되지 않습니다.
11월달 인테이크를 준비하는 학생들은 무조건 입학일후 2주 안까지 비자 승인을 받고 과정 이수를 진행 하셔야 하며, 그 그간안까지 승인이 나지 않으면 1년과정 진행이 불가능 합니다.
현재 가장 많이 문의 주시는 요리과정의 시간표와 캠퍼스 배정 부분은 아직 나오지 않은 샅태이며, 이부분은 시간표가 나오는대로 다시 빠르게 공지를 드리도록 하겠습니다. 하지만. 11월달 과정 진행시 11월 21일 부터 12월 2일 까지는 이론 수업만 진행이 되며 오클랜드 씨티 캠퍼스에서 공부하게 됩니다. 새학기는 2016년 1월 30일날 시작을 하게 됩니다.
현재 코넬 에듀케이션 그룹의 학교는 오클랜드 뿐만 아니라, 타우랑과와, 크라이스트 처치의 캠퍼스가 있으며,

•2016년 1월 5일 부터 학교 온라인 비자로 Post study work visa 등록이 더이상 진행이 안됩니다.
•2016년 12월 달 부터 기존의 학생 온라인 비자 신청 비용이 이민성의 비용인상으로 인해 내년부터 $200로 인상이 됩니다.
•Cornell institute of Business and Technology 요리, 헬스케어, 컴퓨팅, 비지니스 과정만 학교 온라인 비자 진행이 가능 합니다.

또안 Off site 영어 Skype interview 시험은 기존과 동일하게 월,수, 금 뉴질랜드 시간으로 오후 3시 반부터 오후 4시반까지 응시가 가능 하며, 24시간 전에 미리북킹을 해주셔야 합니다.
Onsite 영어 시험은 매주 화, 목일에 시험 응시가 360번지 퀸스트릿 코넬 영어 센타에서 여권 지참후 오후 3시반부터 오후 6시까지 진행이 됩니다.
