Position Description & Link to the Organization's Mission
Fiesta del Sol is West Side Family Place's annual summer festival and block party for families and their young children. The event will feature fun games and activities such as face painting, tattoos, a fish pond, and more! We will also be welcoming a number of special guests including the Tim Hortons Community Cruiser, RCMP Mounties, Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services, and a Children’s Librarian from the Vancouver Public Library. Based on last year's attendance, we estimate that about 400 adults and young children will attend Fiesta.
The event details are as follows:
Event: Fiesta Del Sol
Date: Friday, August 8th, 2014
Time: 9:30 AM - 1:00 PM
Set-up & Take-down: 8:30 - 9:30 AM; 1:00 - 2:00 PM
Logistics: The 2800 block of West 11th Avenue (between Macdonald and Mackenzie streets) will be closed to non-event vehicle traffic between 8:30 AM and 2:00 PM on the day of the event. Within this closed area, we will have vendor tables (new this year!) and craft/activity stations set-up along the street. In addition, we will set up a central tent for performances and activities.
Event volunteers are needed for the following roles at Fiesta del Sol:
1. Ticket Booth Entrance
2. Valet Stroller Parking
3. Flagger
4. Fish Pond
5. Tattoos
6. Concession Assistant
7. Floaters
8. Raffle Ticket Seller
9. Photographer
All volunteer shifts will be from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM. However, there will be flexibility for positions to roam around the site. In addition, we would greatly appreciate any help for set-up and take down if you are available.
Positions will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis. Please email Regina at wsfp_ss1@outlook.com as soon as possible with your resume and top 3 choices for positions. We will do our best to honour your primary preferences.

8월 8일 금요일 9시부터 1시까지 일하시게 되고, 행사후에 뒷정리등 조금 도와주면 아주 감사할거라고 하네요^^
